Dover Democrats Action Alert

The New Hampshire Democratic Party is responsible for appointing ballot inspectors in every polling place in the state.

Ballot Inspectors are community members just like you, interested in maintaining the integrity of our elections! As a Ballot Inspector, you would serve in one of the many roles needed at the polls - marking the checklist, handing out ballots, helping voters in need at the ballot booths, receiving ballots at the box, and more. These positions are two-year terms (starting in August 2022), serve for all state and local elections, and come with a small monetary stipend for your service.

Per New Hampshire state law, each political party is required to have a specific number of Ballot Inspectors in each town's polling locations (RSA 658:2). The number of Ballot Inspectors needed is determined by the NH Secretary of State.

Ballot Inspectors are the first people readily available to stand up for voters at the polls on Election Day! We need great Democrats like you in your community’s polling locations to advocate for voters’ rights and help keep our elections free and fair.

In Dover we currently need ballot inspectors in Wards 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. (You must be a resident of the ward where you serve as a ballot inspector.)

To volunteer, please complete THIS FORM.

If you have questions, please contact Emma Mintz, the Voter Protection Director for the NHDP at emintz@nhdp.org.
