Dover Democrats at Work

Mark Your Calendar! Here is a list of events of interest to Dover Democrats scheduled for this week:

Meet the Candidates for City Council - Keep Dover Moving Forward Tuesday, September 21, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Via Zoom

For many years, through all sorts of social, political, economic, and cultural changes, Dover's city council has kept the city moving forward. Dover has long been a good place to launch a career, raise a family, and enjoy the rewards of retirement. We are now a more vibrant, prosperous, dynamic city than ever before. For all that is positive, we also have serious concerns to address. If we are to continue to be a jewel on the Seacoast, we need creative, visionary leadership. This program is a chance to interact with the candidates, both incumbent and new, who share our Dover Dem values:

Ward 1 - Michelle Muffet Lipinski (incumbent) Ward 2 - Robert Hinkel Ward 3 - Deb Thibodeau (incumbent) Ward 4 - Deb Hackett Ward 5 - Dennis Shanahan (incumbent) Ward 6 - Jodi Langellotti At Large - Lindsey Williams (incumbent) At Large - Linnea Nemeth

Each candidate will have 5 minutes to share their ideas for growing Dover's successes, address the issues that continue to call for solutions, and convey their perspectives on the needs of our citizens. That will leave ample time for participants to share aspirations, pose questions and give counsel.

Our Voices Must be Heard: Stop Gerrymandering! NH House Select Committee on Redistricting Strafford County Listening Session

Wednesday, September 22

Public Listening Session at 6:00 p.m. - Pre-session Visibility at 5:00 p.m.

Strafford County Courthouse,

259 County Farm Rd # 6, Dover, NH 03820

Now is the time to sign up - to send emails, come to rally before the Strafford County "Listening Session," attend the meeting, and/or testify before the Select Committee. This is one of a series of "Listening Sessions" the committee is holding in each county around the State. We have seen what Republican gerrymandering in 2010 produced - a New Hampshire going backward, a legislature enacting regressive laws against the will of the vast majority of our citizens, unrepresentative Republican majorities in the House, Senate and Executive Council.

We must show up, make noise, be heard. We need to be a big crowd - impossible to ignore!
